Me: I know what the difference between cobwebs and spiderwebs are.
Dad: What is it?
Me: Spiderwebs are made by spiders and cobwebs are made by male swans...
Dad: Swans make webs?
Me: Yeah, they're really big and sticky - no of course they don't!? (exchanges incredulous look with mother)
Dad: Well I don't know. It could have been a special term or something...
For a man who's actually very clever, he can be really thick...
