Things and whatnots...

Still no mucho happening in KatieLand. I've been staying with my Grampa the past few days, but I suspect that's more interesting to me than to you...

You know what I love? Greenbelt. Absolutely adore Greenbelt. As such I've been keeping an eager eye on the lineup for this year, and I'm certainly not disappointed.

Musicwise, it looks like we're getting a bluesy, jazzy, soul-infested kinda vibe, which I can dig. Foy Vance, King Blues, Courtney Pine and many other cool and groovy types. One downside though: no Tankus again. Greenbelt seem to have gone off them, which I find more than a little irritating. Ah well, hopefully proximity to London come September will allow me to finally get to one of their gigs.


Otherthings wise, it's looking to be a good year as well. Milton Jones is being funny (hoorah!), Jeremy Hardy's being filmy (hoorah!) and Roger McGough being a poet (hoorah!). Jenny has promised to drag me out of bed at the crack of dawn to go and watch the Emperor's New Groove. This is fine by me. I don't mind being dragged out of bed, so long as I'm not woken up.

The bad thing about all of this of course is that I still have to wait 3 weeks until I can go. WAAAAA!!!
